Nigerian Premier League top scorer Gbolahan Salami will lead no fewer than ten Home Eagles stars to the eighth edition of the All Star game against Westerlo Academy billed to hold on Friday at the Mountain Of Fire Football pitch, Completesportsnigeria.com has been informed by the organiser of the biennial event, Dosu Joseph.
Salami who welcomed his first child, a baby boy on Monday, will lead the likes of Chima Akas, Jamiu Alimi, Ibrahim Salaw and, Femi Thomas against Westerlo Academy of Lagos.
In a media conference to officially launch the event, Atlanta 1996 gold medallist Dosu saod that his motive in organising the event is to ensure his academy players gain the needed experience to succeed in football.
"It's a game these young boys look forward to in June and in December," Dosu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"And incidentally, they've only lost once to their senior colleagues and from these games they have built confidence and that has helped them wherever they have played in the country."
Expected players for the game include Olufemi Oladapo, Razak Adegbite, Yusuf Ayinla ,Afeez Alao, Yinka Adedeji, Nathaniel Joseph, Ayo Saka, Meysack Chukwuemeka, Jecob Eke, Adeleye and Adebisi of Ifeanyi Ubah, Ayotunde Osasuno, Tope Orelope, Alaba Osawe, among others.
