This January transfer window has already proved wildly unpredictable and Nigerian players have not been left out of the moves.

1. Emmanuel Emenike (From Fenerbahce to West Ham)
Former Nigeria striker, Emmanuel Emenike, joined West Ham on a season loan deal after the Hammers paid a fee of £730,000 to sign the Fenerbahce striker.
Emenike spent part of this season on a loan spell at Arabian Gulf League side, Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates, and will also have the option to join the Hammers on a permanent deal from Fenerbahce for £8.1million in the summer.
He has since been handed the No.29 jersey at the club and becomes the third Nigerian player to feature for West Ham after Obinna Nsofor and Victor Moses.
2. Michael Babatunde ( From Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk to Raja Casablanca)
Super Eagles winger, Michael Babatunde, ended his horror of being owed a backlog of salaries at Ukrainian side Dnipro
Dnipropetrovsk when he signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Moroccan powerhouses, Raja Casablanca.
He joins compatriot, Christian Osaguona, at the club as the club seek a fourth CAF Champions League title after emerging winners in 1989, 1997, 1999 and runners-up in 2002.
3. Akinjide Idowu ( From Nigeria Youth Soccer Academy to Portland Timbers 2)
Nigeria youth international, Akinjide Idowu, joined United Soccer League side Portland Timbers 2 on a two-year deal with an option of one-year extension.
The American third-tier side – and reserve team of MLS side Portland Timbers – announced the Nigeria Youth Soccer Academy product as their first signing ahead of the 2016 season.
Idowu, 19, has featured in over 50 games for Nigeria at the U17 and U20 levels, playing in all six matches at the 2013 CAF U-17 championship in Morocco.
In 2013, he helped Nigeria win a record fourth FIFA U-17 World Cup title in the United Arab Emirates, appearing in all six matches at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
4. Izunna Uzockukwu (From Amkar Perm to OB Odense)
Super Eagles midfielder, Izunna Uzochukwu, returned to the Danish League six months after leaving champions FC Midtjylland.
The 25-year-old who joined Russian side Amkar Perm on a free transfer after a successful spell at Danish Superliga returned to Denmark to team up with OB Odense.
Currently in Turkey in a winter pre-season training, the NIgerian international made a scoring debut for his side in a 3-0 friendly win over Koge. He has been handed the No. 15 jersey at the club.
5. Sunday Stephen ( From Alanyaspor to Real Salt Lake)
Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake signed one-cap Nigerian midfielder, Sunday Stephen, on a a free after the player terminated his contract with Turkish second division side Alanyaspor.
Stephen, 27, arrives at Salt Lake after playing for eight different teams in his 11 years as a professional.
He began his career with Polideportivo Ejido in the Spanish Second Division in 2005, staying until 2007 when he moved up to the first division with Valencia. During his four seasons there, he also spent time on loan with Osasuna, Real Betis and CD Numancia, where he eventually moved in the 2011 season.
6. Bartolomew Ogbeche ( From SC Cambuur to Willem II)
Bartholomew Ogbeche signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Willem II on Wednesday, January 27 after spending two years at SC Cambuur.
The 30 year old forward who played for the Super Eagles at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan/ Korea aged 18, has played for 11 clubs in his professional career in 15 years.
Ogbeche etched his name into The Yellow – Blues folklore after becoming their all – time top scorer in the Eredivisie with 24 goals in 57 games.
7. Michael Olaitan ( From Olympiakos to KV Kortrijk)
Ex-Flying Eagles midfielder, Michael Olaitan, moved to Belgian club KV Kortrijk from Olympiakos on loan until the end of season.
The 23-year-old forward spent the first six months of 2015-16 at FC Twente, but failed to score any goals in 18 appearances. He made his debut for new club KV Kortrijk in their Belgian Pro League clash against Oostende last Friday at the Guldensporenstadion.
8. Abdul Jeleel Ajagun ( From Panathinakos to Levadiakos)
Nigerian midfielder, Abdul Ajagun, will continue his career at Levadiakos on loan until the end of season after Panathinakos manager Andrea Stramaccioni revealed he was not in his plans.
The former U-17 and U-20 star joined Panathinaikos on a contract for four years with the club from Nigerian Premier League side Dolphins. He went to score on his debut against Platanias F.C days later.
He becomes the second Nigerian player to feature for the club after Victor Agali. Ajagun scored ten goals in 67 appearances for Panathinaikos.
9. Blessing Eleke ( From Nova Gorica to NK Olimpija Ljubljana, Slovenia)
Nigerian teen star, Blessing Eleke, joined current Slovenian league leaders NK Olimpija Ljubljana for a reported fee of €800,000 from Nova Gorica on a three and half year deal.
The former Flying Sports academy player who scored 12 goals for his previous team in the league will now team up with his long term strike partner Ezekiel Henty at the club.
10. Etebo Oghenekaro (From Warri Wolves to Feirense)
After suffering a botched summer transfer to Udinese in 2014, Warri Wolves forward Etebo Oghenekaro secured a move to Portuguese second division side, Feirense.
Oghenekaro who was named the Most Promising Player of the Year at the GLO/CAF Awards in Abuja last month helped Warri Wolves clinch a CAF Champions League ticket as Glo Premier League runners-up and also finished top scorer at the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in December.
11. Kingsley Sokari (From Enyimba to CS Sfaxien)
Nigerian youth international Kingsley Sokari linked up with Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien,for an undisclosed fee, following his exploits for the NIgerian Premier League champions Enyimba.
Sokari was part of the Enyimba side that won a record seventh Glo Premier League last season, joins Junior Ajayi at the club.
12. Ikechukwu Uche (From Tigres UANL to Malaga)
Ex-Super Eagles striker Ikechukwu Uche made a surprise move from Mexican club Tigres UANL to Spanish club Malaga late on transfer deadline day.
