Kidnapped Supersports Journalists Freed!

South African citizen Nick Greyling was released on Monday night by his abductors, the last of the three abducted SuperSport journalists to regain his freedom.
Felix Awogu, General Manager of SuperSport in Nigeria revealed that Greyling, a sound technician, was released unharmed.
“They have all been released and are on their way to the office. The three gentlemen were not harmed, and we would like to thank everybody who intervened in getting them back safely.”
Greyling and two others, commentator Bowie Atama and cameraman Alexander Effiong were kidnapped on Monday March 1 near Owerri, on their way back from a Nigeria Premier League match production at Enugu.
A bus carrying 21 members of the production crew were ambushed and one staff member was shot in the leg.
Effiong is said to have escaped from the abductors, while Atama and Greyling were released after a week in captivity.
The families of the abducted men were provided with counseling by their employer M-Net during the period of their abduction.
