Owumi

The South East Zone of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) rose from an emergency stakeholders forum  endorsing  Davison Owumi to contest the post of NPL chairman in the forth coming NPL elections on 10th and 11th March, 2010 in Abuja.
A statement by the National Vice Chairman South East Zone of SWAN, Mr. Foster Chime, said the zone endorsed the candidacy of Mr. Owumi having looked at his track records from being active footballer to an astute football administrator/manager and technical director in current NPL management, and chairman club owners association.

Chime recalled the invaluable roles and contributions of Mr. Owumi in football development in the South East Zone especially to all the Premier, Professional and Amateur Clubs in the South East Zone and more importantly the Rangers Football Club, where he held sway for more than six years as CEO and Team Manager taking the club to continental engagements with positive results.
