Taiwo Rejects New Three-Year Marseille Deal

Taye Taiwo has reportedly refused to extend his contract with Marseille. On Wednesday, the club proposed a new three year offer for the Nigeria left back which he bluntly refused to.

Taiwo’s agent was in Spain yesterday trying to negotiate his transfer to Atletico Madrid but it ended in vain.Taiwo’s agent and Atletico Madrid reportedly asked Marseille to review their stance on Taiwo but the club refused.

The ball is now on the side of OM.Either Marseille decide to let Taiwo go, and accept five million euros,or Taiwo will go as a free agent next year.

If Taiwo departs for Spain,Marseille are lining up Jean-Philippe Sabo as the understudy to Heinze.Liverpool are also monitoring the situation closely and are prepared to pay ten million euros for the ex Gabros defender.

Taiwo if they refuse to release you just go ahead and play for another year and go on a free transfer, you might even get a better deal by next year. This is one of the problems of long time contract, at times is counter productive. @Mr Mumini Alao: My Norton Anti-virus is still warning me that this site is unsafe, please kindly do something about it. Thank you.

taye, where ever you are playing don’t leave just because people say so or you felt you should leave but consider some things also like where are you going, are you really needed there and take time to study the place and people but if marseille refuses then ask them to increase your pay .

Taiwo should take it easy with marseille. He should try and let them understand not by arguing with them but by making them see reasons why he should go. he has tried for merseille
