Nigerian striker Ikechukwu Uche has returned to Spain to join Malaga from Mexican side Tigres UANL.
The La Liga club confirmed the loan deal late on Monday night on their official website.
Malaga wrote: “Ikechukwu Uche, until now in the ranks of Mexico’s Tigres UANL, joins on loan at Málaga CF until next June 30.
“The African player, with Spanish EU passport, becomes the fifth winter reinforcement of Málaga Football Club after contracting Chory Castro, Christian Atsu, Cifu and Ricca.
“Uche has speed, power, dribbling, goals and an extensive professional experience. He can play as a striker, second striker or on the right. Between 2002 and 2015 he has played in several Spanish football teams halfway between first and second division, scoring a hundred goals before his departure to Mexico Tigers.”
Uche himself confirmed the move when he tweeted: “With eagerness and enthusiasm…hello Malaga.”
Uche has played for Racing de Ferrol, Recreativo de Huelva, Getafe CF, Real Zaragoza, Granada CF and Villarreal CF all in Spain.
