Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC of Ibadan have secured the release of support striker Muyiwal Lawal ahead Sunday’s match day-8 trip to Sunshine Stars in Akure,Completesportsnigeria.com understands.
Lawal, younger brother of former junior international, Dimeji Lawal switched to the Ibadan side prior to the start of the current campaign but has been held off action over transfer related issues.”We’ve secured his clearance”, offers an obviously elated Rasheed Balogun, General Manager of the Oluyole Warriors.
“As we speak now I’ve his provisional clearance and the good thing is that Sunshine Stars
have also released his clearance documents”, Balogun a former defunct Julius Berger FC of Lagos, Dolphins of Port Harcourt and Sunshine Stars of Akure manager said.
Checks reveal that Lawal was earlier billed to make his 3SC debut in the match day 6 trip to Abia Warriors but insisted he won’t untill his issues with the club are sorted out.
We gathered that in order to play safe Lawal did not want to encounter similar problems he went through in Sunshine Stars again in 3SC.
“He wanted a loan deal at Sunshine but it was not properly documented hence the transfer logjam.
“He does not want a repeat of that at 3SC that’s whey he appears meticulous”, a close source to the player disclosed. It was further understood that the support striker who scored four goals for Sunshine last season could make his debut at Sunshine Stars on Sunday despite having left 3SC camp prior to thd latest resolution of his transfer issues.
“We’re making efforts to have him back in the camp before we travel to Akure. The good news is that we have gotten his clearance from NFF and Sunshine Stars have also cleared him for us”, a decent 3SC official added.
