General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun, has leapt to the defence of the League Management Company over their decision to ban nine stadiums from hosting games until they meet up with acceptable standards.
Balogun lauded the league body for the bold action, stating that the move will help in improving the game.
"I must say this is a wonderful decision by the LMC," he told completesportsnigeria.com on Tuesday from Abuja.
"They made it known to all the clubs before the start of the season that we must ensure our grounds meet up with the acceptable requirements laid down by them.
"I believe it is good that they have decided to ban stadiums that have failed to keep to that.
"The decision is in the interest of Nigerian football and I hope those affected will take it in good faith."
