3SC Hold Taraba In Makurdi

By Adeboye Amosu:

A late free kick by substitute Muyiwa Lawal ensured 3SC maintained their unbeaten run under Gbenga Ogunbote as the Oluyole Warlords held Taraba United to a 1-1 draw  at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi on Saturday.

Following a barren first half, Boris Konan opened the scoring for the hosts in the 60 minute.

The Jalingo outfit fluffed a number of chances to add to the lead and were punished in the 87th minute when Lawal converted a free kick to ensure his side return to Ibadan with a share of the spoils.

Taraba United are now without a win in their last nine games and the club hierachy must now be having a rethink following their public backing of coach Tony Ogharanduku.

As for 3SC, their fairytale run under Ogunbote continues and they will be more confident of avoiding the drop on the back of this impressive result.
