Players of Glo Premier League outfit, Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, of Ibadan have concluded plans to send a petition to the League Management Company should they club failed to pay their outstanding salaries on time.
The players have not been paid their salaries since February this year.
Completesportsnigeria.com scooped from a reliable source within the club who pleaded anonymity, that though the players are happy with the efforts of the management of the club at ensuring they fulfil their contractual obligations to them, they won’t hesistate to seek redress from the LMC if their difficult situation persists.
The source further divulged to Completesportsnigeria.com that the players were paid half salaries during the campaign in the national league last term, and they are worried things may continue in the same manner this season.
“The players have really showed their love for the club by giving their all these past few months, but it’s high time the club found a lasting solution to the problem.
“If the situation persists, then they will have no choice than to send a petition to the LMC like Dolphins players did when they faced similar problem.
“Aside that, nobody has told them what they will be earning this season as they were paid half salaries last season.
“No negotiation was done during the off-season as to what they will be getting following the promotion to the Premier League,”disclosed the source to Completesportsnigeria.com.Unblock the FIFA World Cup with ExpressVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
