Shooting Stars Sports Club risk losing Ajani Ibrahim for the second half of the season if they fail to pay Sunshine Stars the mandatory N5m transfer fee for the player before Wednesday, completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The two Glo Premier League sides were locked in transfer battle for the forward earlier in the season, with the Players’ Status Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation ruling that the Oluyole Warlords should pay N5m to their south-west rivals for the player’s transfer.
3SC are however yet to pay the fee and Sunshine Stars have once again reported the case to the League Management Company.
3SC’s media officer, Jubril Arowolo, told completesportsnigeria.com that they have been given a deadline by the LMC to pay Sunshine Stars the transer fee.
”We may lose Ajani Ibrahim for the second hallf of the season if we fail to pay his N5n transfer fee to Sunshine Stars before Wednesday as directed by the LMC,” Arowolo told completesportsnigeria.com.
”We are working towards meeting up with the deadline and will make sure we pay them before Tuesday.
