3SC’s Ogunbote Eyes Fed Cup Revenge Vs Rivers United

By Adeboye Amosu:

Shooting Stars head coach Gbenga Ogunbote is looking to avenge his side’s defeat to Rivers United in the Federation Cup when they face each other in a Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 27 fixture on Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.
The Oluyole Warlords were edged out 3-2 on penalties by the Pride of Rivers, denying them a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
But Ogunbote is confident his charges will come out with a win this time around.
“If that Federation Cup game in Kaduna was a league game, we would have got a point,” he stated.
“I hope my players will not be psychologically affected by the manner they lost to Rivers United last time out, but that is where maturity comes in.
“I will be surprised if we lose in Port Harcourt.”
3SC defeated MFM FC 1-0 in their last away game.
