Wydad Casablanca of Morocco new boy, Nigeria striker Chisom Chikatara, hopes he will be cleared to feature for the club in next Wednesday’s CAF Champions League Group A clash against Egyptian side Al Ahly, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The forward was recently cleared by his former club Abia Warriors to link up with the Rouges et Blancs, ending months of contractual disputes over the player.
Wydad officials are awaiting clearance from the Confederation of African Football to parade the gifted striker against the Cairo giants.
“I’m really looking forward to playing the first game for my club (Wydad),” Chikatara told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I started training with my new teammates on Wednesday and It has been a wonderful experience for me.
“I hope to get the opportunity to play against Al Ahly in the Champions League.”
