Sunshine Stars face a daunting task in their bid to win a first Glo Premier League title with the likes of Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists and Heartland poised to challenge them for the crown.
The Akure Gunners who have the best record at home in the league this season have won all their fixtures at the Akure Township Stadium.
They have however struggled to replicate that impressive home record on their travels, winning only one game on the road in the first stanza.
Prolific hitman, Tunde Adeniji, who have hit the back of the net 11 times so far this season will need to improve on that haul if they are to beat other competitors to the title.

In Kadiri Ikhana Enyimba have one of the most experienced coaches in the Nigerian top flight and he could be the deciding factor in this keenly contested title race.
Enyimba have proved they can win anywhere, one thing most of their rivals have failed to do this season.
If they can make their last fixture of the season against Sunshine Stars less important and improve slightly on their performance from the first half of the season, then Aba fans will sing the popular song, Nzogbu, Zogbu, Enyimba Enyimba Enyi at the end of the season.
Warri Wolves have emerged as contenders for the title after securing four points from their two rescheduled games against El-kanemi Warriors and Kwara United.
The Seasiders have sold influential goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi to South African side, Chippa United, but can still count on the reliable and experienced Okiemute Odah to help maintain their title push.
Key players like defensive midfielder, Lordson Ichull, Stanley Dimgba, Abu Azeez, Sikiru Alimi and Gbolahan Salami have upped their game in recent weeks and they now look good to help their side secure the ultimate prize.

Warri Wolves have failed to live up to expectations especially in big games and the fact that they have some difficult away games to contend with makes them an outsider for the title.
The league new boys have so far proved to be the season surprise package. With three road wins in the first half of the season, it is difficult to rule the Bauchi-based side out from mounting a serious title challenge.
They have kept majority of the players who helped them gained promotion last season and that has helped them in terms of team cohesion and camaraderie.

Wikki Tourists lack of experience could prove their albatross in the title race. A good example is their 4-0 loss to Heartland on the final day of the first stanza.
They seem not to have enough experience to sustain a title charge till the end of the campaign.
The Naze Millionaires have enjoyed a new lease of life since Bethel Orji took charge from Erasmus Onuh earlier in the season.
They have relied more on the goals of Bright Ejike to surge up the table in recent weeks.
The Owerri-based outfit have little pressure on them with many not actually expect them to challenge for the title at the beginning of the season and this could work in their favour.
