1. Oriental Derby: All Roads Lead to Aba
The Abia derby between Enyimba and Abia Warriors is no doubt the biggest fixture in the Nigeria Professional Football League this weekend. The People’s Elephant lost at home to their local rivals last season and now want to prevent a repeat of that disappointing defeat.
Enyimba look good to secure the maximum points in this tie going by their current form. Coach Kadiri Ikhana will look to new boy Christian Obiozor who have scored three goals in his last three games to deliver the goods for his side once again.
Obiozor has a good supporting cast in the likes of Ifeanyi George who was in devastating form against Kwara United in the midweek, Chinonso Okonkwo and Bernard Okorowanta.
Like Ikhana, Abia Warriors handler, Ladan Bosso have an array of talented players that can help shock the visitors again. Prominent among them is Chisom ‘kolanut Boy’ Chikatara who has netted seven times this season and his partner Bolaji Sakin.

Champions Kano Pillars have a tough task ahead in their bid to successfully defend the title they have won in the last three seasons.
The Pyramid City side host northern rivals El-kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri at home on Sunday, and all eyes will be on them to see if they can halt a run of three games without a win.
