The Super Eagles will face Tanzania in their final Group G 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
It is an inconsequential game as Egypt have already picked the group's sole ticket.
However, Completesportsnigeria.com's JAMES AGBEREBI reckonds the match has its benefits…

– OPPORTUNITY FOR GERNOT ROHR TO KNOW THE PLAYERS
Although the Super Eagles defeated Akwa united 3-0 in a friendly game, the match against Tanzania is a different ball game entirely.
While the friendly against Akwa United would only give new head coach Gernot Rohr a clue about the players, the clash against Tanzania will provide a clear picture of what to expect especially, in a competitive encounter.
-GOOD PREPARATION AHEAD OF 2018 WORLD CUP QUALIFIER AGAINST ZAMBIA
Since it is not certain the Nigeria Football Federation would organize Grade A friendlies for the Eagles ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia, the game against Tanzania to an extent will take care of that.
It will definitely prepare the players towards the qualifier which comes up next month in Lusaka.
It will put them in the right frame of mind ahead of the big task before them.
-IMPROVING NIGERIA'S FIFA RANKING
Of recent, the Super Eagles position in the FIFA has not been pleasant to look at.
For a team that was ranked fifth in 1994, only to now occupy the 67th spot reveals how much the country's football has nose-dived.
But playing against Tanzania in a competitive game could improve the Eagles' ranking if they win.
-ENDING THE 2017 AFCON QUALIFIERS ON A HIGH
Egypt may have clinched Group G's sole ticket, it will be unheard of for the Eagles to finish bottom behind Tanzania.
Currently on two points, a win against Tanzania will guarantee the Eagles second spot behind Egypt, rounding off the qualifiers in a respectable position.
-EAGLES MAINTAINING SUPERIORITY OVER TANZANIA
The Eagles have played against Tanzania seven times without losing a single game.
In seven meetings, the Eagles have won four and drawn three.
A win on Saturday will maintain the Eagles' dominance on the Eastern African country.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
