AAG: Nigeria Draw Congo In Volleyball, Advance In Badminton

Team Nigeria men’s volleyball team will slug it out with Congo on Saturday in continuation of the volleyball event at the on-going 11th All Africa Games here in Congo Brazzaville.

The encounter between the Nigerian men’s squad and their Congo Brazzaville counterpart will hold at GAMD volleyball court on Saturday.

Before reaching this stage the Nigerian men walloped their Botswana counterparts 3-0 at the GAMD volleyball arena to set the stage for Saturday’s confrontation with the host country of the All Africa Games.

Also, Team Nigeria is closing in on a first medal at the on-going 11th All Africa Games here in Congo Brazzaville.

The Nigerian Badminton team edged past their Ugandan counterparts 3-2 on Thursday to book a place in the quarter finals of the badminton event at the All Africa Games here in Congo Brazzaville.

Playing at the magnificient Revolution Hall badminton court, the Nigerians who had earlier defeated Botswana 2-1, fought off a harsh resistance from the East Africans to coast home with a 3-2 win.
The Nigerians will now confront their Egyptian counterparts in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
The match has been billed to hold at the Revolution Hall, Kintele, Congo Brazzaville.
