Nigeria U-23 Eagles lost 3-1 to Burkina Faso in the second semi-final of the football event of the 2015 All Africa Games on Tuesday.
Sydney Sylla put Burkina Faso in front in the 11th minute before Omar Kabore made it 2-0 in the 73rd minute.
Daniel Etor reduced the deficit two minutes later but Burkina Faso restored their two-goal lead when Arba Dicko scored in the 78th minute.
Burkina Faso will face Senegal in the final while the U-23 Eagles will take on hosts Congo in the third-place match.
In the women’s semi-final, the Super Falcons lost 2-1 to Cameroon thanks to two early goals from Therese Abena and Madeleine Ngo Mani in the 10th and 14th minute respectively.
Onome Ebi pulled a goal back for the Falcons in the 48th minute but it wasn’t enough as the Cameroonians held on to the lead until the final whistle.
Te Falcons will now face Cote d’ Ivoire in the third place match while Cameroon will face Ghana in the final.
