AFCON: How U-23 Eagles Rated Vs Egypt

By Adeboye Amosu:

EMMANUEL DANIEL 6/10
Failed to keep a clean sheet for the second consecutive game but made some key saves and interceptions. Looked shaky in goal at times and received a yellow card for time wasting.

SINCERE SETH 5/10
The right-back failed to replicate the impressive showing he put up in the first game. He struggled to perform his defensive duties and also failed to contribute much to the attack.

SEGUN ODUDUWA 6/10
Kept his place in the side despite a below-par showing in the side's first game against Mali. He however put up a better showing against the North Africans.

CHIZOBA AMAEFULE 5/10
Took the place of Zaharadeen Bello in the line-up and never looked good enough to help solve the side's defensive  frailties.

NDIFREKE EFFIONG 4/10
Kept his place in the side despite a poor showing in the first game and once again failed to impress.

AZUBUIKE OKECHUKWU 7/10
The skipper of the side put up a commanding performance for the entire game. Though he gave the ball away carelessly a couple of times, he still did enough to help the Eagles earn a share of the spoils.

USMAN MOHAMMED 7/10
A composed performance from the playmaker who was one of the best performers on the side of the U-23 Eagles.

STANLEY DIMGBA 5/10
Never reached the standard he set in the first game and was duly substituted in the 81st minute by Godspower Aniefiok.

OGHENEKARO ETEBO 7/10
Did his job well on the night by converting two spot kicks. The Warri Wolves forward however tended to hold on to the ball too much at times.

TAIWO AWONIYI 4/10
Awoniyi is yet to justify  his high rating in this competition as he put up yet another poor display against the North Africans

JUNIOR AJAYI 4/10
The Tunisia-based striker toiled hard to impress in the game with no success.

SUBSTITUTES
KUFRE EBONG 2/10
Came in for Awoniyi early in the second and failed to make an impact in the game.

GODSPOWER ANIEFIOK 2/10
Like Ebong, he failed to contribute much to the game after coming on Stanley Dimgba.

BATURE YARO 2/10
Had a chance to put his name in glory after his late introduction, but was unable to convert the chance.
