Two Nigerian singers Ekene Ijemba (Humble Smith) and Chinagorom Onuoha (African China) have both spoken about their thoughts on Sunday’s Manchester derby.
The duo are tipping Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City to win the grudge Super Sunday battle but die-hard Manchester United supporter, Michael Stephens, better known in the Nigerian music industry as Ruggedman, disagrees.
Ruggedman believes his darling team will be victorious on Sunday evening.
They all spoke to Completesportsnigeria.com on the 171st Manchester derby.
“I feel Manchester City having a fitter team than United are likely to claim the three points.
“Vincent Kompany is the one they will miss most but they are still a formidable team. I think they have coped well without the likes of Samir Nasri and Kevin de Bruyne,” Humble Smith who is making waves with the hit song Osinachi told Completesportsnigeria.com in Lagos.
African China added: “Apart from injuries even, they have a slightly better team. Besides, any team these days can have a go at Man United. I predict a close game but City should edge United.”
Ruggedman, a staunch United fan, who spoke last of the trio on Sunday morning said:
“This is a match Man United must not lose if they are to remain in the top four places.
“I hope Juan Mata and Anthony Martial will raise their game. We have been without key players a lot due to injuries.”
City are fourth in the table with 51 points, while United lie in sixth with 47 points.
The match kicks off at 5pm Nigerian time on Sunday evening.
The last meeting between both sides on October 25, 2015 at the Old Trafford ended in a scoreless draw.
