Former Super Eagles striker Victor Agali has drummed up support for the country's U-17 team to the 2015 FIFA U-17
World Cup in Chile, saying he has confidence that coach Emmanuel Amuneke will deliver.
Agali, who was part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2002 African Cup of Nations in Mali, said Amuneke's experience will go a
long way in helping the team to excel in the tournament as he urged the players to have confidence in themselves.
The former FC Schalke 04 striker also believes that the pre-tournament build-up the team featured in before moving to Chile
was a good idea that would help the players to have confidence in themselves during the tournament in Chile.
"I have not had all the time to follow everything about the team but from the little I know, I think the coaches and the
players have done well during the preparation to make sure they write history by defending their title in Chile and I must give
kudos to the Nigeria Football Federation for the opportunity given to the team to take part in some tournaments ahead of
the U-17 World Cup, it was a good idea and I am sure that it will help them in Chile," Agali told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We all know the qualities in Amuneke as a former player and someone who was part of the last Eaglets team that also won the
tournament, so I expect this team to excel in Chile
just as they did couple of years back."
