Home-based Super Eagles winger, Prince Aggreh, is confident the team can win a first African Nations Championship title in Rwanda, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
African powerhouses Nigeria failed to qualify for the first two editions of the competition, but won the bronze medal in South Africa two years ago.
Sunday Oliseh’s men will look to improve on that showing when hostilities begin in the fourth edition of the competition that is reserved for senior players plying their trade in their country’s domestic league in Rwanda on January 16.
Aggreh told Completesportsnigeria.com that the quality of players in the side as well as the will to succeed can help them rule the continent.
“We are determined to do well in Rwanda. There is also enough quality in the team and with luck on our side, we will come home with the trophy,” the Sunshine Stars player told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“The last time in South Africa, we came third, but we want to do better than that this time around.”
The Eagles will open their campaign in the competition on January 18 against Niger.
