Enyimba coach Paul Aigbogun says his side are back on track following Wednesday’s impressive 2-1 away win against Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The victory ended a run of two games without a win for the Peoples Elephant who drew their last two fixtures in the Nigeria Professional Football League prior to the game against Pillars.
It was also the Aba giants’ first win at the Sani Abacha Stadium in the NPFL era.
The former Warri Wolves coach also praised his side for their determination and courage after they rallied from a goal down to win the game.
“It was tough for us after our failure to win in the last two games against Heartland and Lobi Stars,” Aigbogun told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“But the boys showed great determination by coming from a goal down to win the game.
“To beat Kano Pillars at their home ground is not a small feat and I want to commend the players for a wonderful job.
“What is important for us now is to build on this win and continue to do things right.”
Enyimba will next host Niger Tornadoes in a week 15 fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.
