Former Super Eagles forward Yakubu Aiyegbeni is on undergoing trials at English National League side, Boreham Wood FC, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former Portsmouth striker according to Boreham Wood FC, will feature for the side in a pre- season friendly game against his former team Reading today on Saturday afternoon.
The National League side announced via their official Twitter handle on Friday:NEWS: We can announce that Former @Everton @officialpompey @ReadingFC striker YAKUBU will feature for the Wood against the royals tomorrow (today)."
Reading FC also tweeted: "The first of our pre-season friendlies at 3pm! Rumour has it we may meet the Yak when we take on Boreham Wood today (Saturday)!"
Yakubu last played for Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor.
The Yak as he is fondly called has featured for top English sides that Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn Rovers.
He also had stints in China with Guangzhou RF and Qatari side Al Rayyan.
The striker scored 21 goals in 57 appearances for Nigeria.
