–Israel based goalkeeper dreams national team return
Israel based Nigerian goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba says he believes that the Super Eagles can rule Africa again if only the Nigeria Football Federation can resolve the issue of who coaches the team on time while insisting he is still a member of the team.
The Bnei Yehuda of Israel goalkeeper who spoke to Complete Sports from his base through a social media yesterday said he was surprised that up till now the issue of the senior national team’s coaching crew has not been resolved, saying he was sure that Nigeria will regain her leadership position as soon as decision is made on the coaching.
“Well, I am not in Nigeria but I think the issue of who coaches the Super Eagles should be resolved on time so that we can have enough time to concentrate on how to plan for the 2017 African Cup of Nations”, says the former Enyimba star.
“I believe that Nigeria is a big country with lots of talents and with proper planning and focus, I am sure that the Super Eagles will rule Africa again. For me, I am a Nigerian and ready to play for my country anytime I am called upon.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and Coach Stephen Keshi are expected to put the issue of the national team’s coaching crew to rest today as the Big Boss will finally sign the contract papers in Abuja.
It would be recalled that Coach Stephen Keshi who led Nigeria to win the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa also failed to qualify the country for the 2015 edition.
