Nigeria’s sole representative in the boxing event at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Efe Ajagba, lost in the quarter-finals to Kazakhstan’s Ivan Dychko on Tuesday.
Fighting in the super heavyweight category, Dychko emerged victorious via a unanimous decision.
Dychko won all the three rounds in all the judges’ scorecards as he scored technical points while Ajagba was looking for the big punch.

In his first fight at the games, Ajagba knocked out Nigel Paul from Trinidad and Tobago to reach the quarter-finals.
Dychko, who is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal, will take on Great Britain’s Joe Joyce.
The defeat means Nigeria’s wait for a first boxing medal since Duncan Dokiwari’s bronze medal feat in Atlanta 1996 continues.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria
