Former Nigeria U20 captain Abduljeleel Ajagun has praised the Flying Eagles after they booked a place at the FIFA U20 World Cup and advanced to the semifinals of the African Youth Championship.
On Wednesday, the Nigeria U20s smashed past Congo 4-1 to finish top of Group A on six points even before the last group game on Saturday.
Panathinaikos of Greece midfielder Ajagun told AfricanFootball.com he was excited with the way the Flying Eagles Class of 2015 have performed in Senegal so far.
“I congratulate the Flying Eagles for the qualifying for the World Cup and reaching the semifinal of the African Youth Championship. They are favourites to win the competition and I see them winning it,” said Ajagun, who led Nigeria to finish third at the 2013 AYC in Algeria.
“All I will advise them is to forget about the game they have won, be focused and concentrate on the next game.”
The former Dolphins star also featured for Nigeria at the 2011 AYC, which Nigeria won.
He captained the country to the 2013 U20 World Cup in Turkey, where the Flying Eagles reached the knockout stage.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
