Home-based Super Eagles captain, Chima Akas, has denied he has penned a deal with Glo Premier League outfit, Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure, stating that he will sort out his future after the African Nations Championship, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The left-back is in the hunt for a new club following his current club Sharks' relegation to the National League last season.
He was reported to have agreed a deal to link up with the Owena Waves for the new season.
The ex-Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan player has however debunked the claim, preferring to wait until the CHAN in Rwanda to decide his new club.
"I was in Akure to negotiate with officials of Sunshine Stars on the possibility of joining the club, but nothing positive came out of the talks," Akas told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"At the moment, I want to wait till after CHAN to decide my next move."
