Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has assured that the senior national team will be ready to take on Cote d’Ivoire and Sudan in Abu Dhabi later this month despite their not too impressive display in Monday’s 5-2 win over FCT League side in Abuja.
Akpeyi who was replaced at half time of the friendly game disclosed that the team started slowly but got it right after conceding a second minute opener.
“We are getting back to our best and I believe that the game was a good test for us,” Akpeyi told Complete Sports.
“The rebuilding is on and we must be at our very best to be part of it by playing good football,”
The Glo Premier League star who conceded two first half goals in the warm up game is in the final year of his two year contract with Warri Wolves.
