Super Eagles home based goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi is confident that the players invited from the domestic league are good enough to help Nigeria beat Chad in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier scheduled to hold in Kaduna.
The Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi last week invited 26 players from the home front ahead of the match and Akpeyi, a former Flying Eagles star believes that Nigeria will not lack quality players in the encounter.
Speaking ahead of their resumption in camp, Akpeyi recognizes that only hard work can guarantee anyone a place in the team.
“I feel happy to be invited again to the senior national team, Super Eagles is where everyone wants to be and I must tell you that it is a great honour for me to be invited”, says the WarrI Wolves player?
“There are many quality players in the team and I must praise the effort of the coaches in inviting this set of players for the match. All I will enjoin other players is to work hard because that is what I am going to do and I am sure that the coach will be out to pick the very best for the game.
Meanwhile, the players are expected to start arriving in Abuja on this week for preparation ahead of the game.
