Chuba Akpom, who has been mentioned as a prospect for Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has been called up to England U-21s squad to face Norway in a Euro 2017 qualifier.
The Young Lions head coach Gareth Southgate named a 24-man squad for the fixture, which will take place on September 6 on home soil.
The Arsenal forward was a late inclusion to the squad replacing the injured Dominic Solanke, who also has Nigerian blood.
Akpom who will be making his fifth appearance for the side has scored three goals in four games.
