Algeria have been handed a major boost ahead of this weekend's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria with Nabil Bentaleb returning to action for his German side Schalke 04 in Sunday's 3-1 home win over Werder Bremen reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The news comes as a huge boost to the Fennecs of Algeria as Bentaleb has scored four goals in 11 Bundesliga games.
The Tottenham Hotspurs loan star was a major doubt for this weekend's Bundesliga encounter earlier after he was replaced in the 58th minute of Schalke 04's 2-0 win over Krasnodar in the UEFA Europa League due to a muscle injury.
But Bentaleb returned to the starting lineup of Schalke for the home clash against Bremen and scored Schalke's second goal before he was replaced by Benjamin Stambouli in the 80th minute.
The 23 year old missed Algeria's first Group B game against Cameroon due to suspension, but he is set to make his first appearance in the qualifier against Nigeria in Uyo this weekend.
Also, Islam Slimani retuned to Leiceter City's starting line up in Sunday's 2-1 loss at home to West Bromwich Albion. The 28 year old forward headed in Riyad Mahrez curling cross to score lone goal of the reigning English Premier League Champions.
Slimani provided the assist for Soudani goal in their 1-1 draw at home to Cameroun in Bilda. Soudani is also a major doubt for the game
