Nigeria’s high jump champion and record holder, Doreen Amata, will make her debut at the prestigious IAAF Diamond League during the seventh meeting of the series in New York on 13 June.
Amata holds a personal season’s best of 1.94m which she cleared to win the IAAF World Challenge series in Dakar, Senegal last month.
Currently among the top 10 best jumpers in the world this season, Amata will be up against top jumpers including former champion Blanka Slavic of Croatia, who holds the best height of all – 2.08m – after world record holder Stefka Kostadinova of Bulgaria.
Also listed for the adidas Grand Prix are Kasprzycka JusrJustyna of Poland, who holds a 1.94 personal season’s best, and Palsyte Airine of Lithuania, who also has a 1.94 season’s best.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
