Ambrose, Oshaniwa Clash Again In Scotland

By Johnny Edward:

Nigerian defenders Efe Ambrose and Juwon Oshaniwa will be up against each other when holders Celtic face a trip to Tynecastle to play Hearts in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals following Monday’s draw, can report.

Both players were in action in Saturday’s goalless Premiership draw at Parkhead that saw Ambrose sent off for a last minute foul.

The result took the champions Celtic to within four points of Aberdeen, who lost 2-1 at Inverness.

In the other fixtures in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals, Inverness Caledonian Thistle host a Highland derby against Ross County in the second all-Premiership tie.

Championship side Hibernian, who knocked out Premiership leaders Aberdeen, host Dundee United, with Greenock Morton home to St Johnstone.

The ties will be played on 27 and 28 October.
