Ambrose Replaces Injured Omeruo For Congo, Cameroon Friendlies

Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has called up Celtic’s Efe Ambrose for next month’s international friendly games against DR Congo and Cameroon, following injury to Kenneth Omeruo.
This was revealed by the Nigeria Football Federation on their Twitter handle on Wednesday.
“Sunday Oliseh has called up Celtic FC Efe Ambrose in place of injured Kenneth Omeruo for October friendlies,” the NFF wrote.
Omeruo came off for Vasil Bozhikov just nine minutes into Kasimpasa’s 1-1 home draw against Godfrey Oboabona’s Rizespor on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Ambrose, who has been away from the Eagles since their failure to qualify for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, will be playing his first game under new coach Oliseh.

  1. All of them are now Keshi’s boys after all the empty boast by Oliseh that he will surprise us new names to the Eagles. He may as well invite Stephen Keshi to come and help him coach the team since he knows next to nothing about coaching.
