Ambrose Sees Red; Ideye, Simon Win With Olympiakos, Gent

Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambrose, was shown a straight red card just 13 minutes into Celtic and Ross County’s League Cup clash on Sunday.

Ross County made their man advantage count, as they came from a goal down to win 3-1.

In the English FA Cup, Mikel Obi, was left on the bench for 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 5-1 away win against MK Dons.

A hat-trick from Oscar, and a goal each from Eden Hazard and Bertrand Traore, sealed the emphatic win for Chelsea.

His Nigerian team-mate, Saviour Godwin, was benched throughout the encounter.

Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, was on from the start before making way for Thomas Matton on 75 minutes, in Gent’s 2-1 home win against Waasland-Beveren.

In Greece, Brown Ideye, was in Olympiakos starting 11 as they thrashed PAS Gianina 3-0.
Ideye was later replaced by Alan Pulido with five minutes remaining in the game.

And in the Turkish Cup, Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona, featured for 90 minutes, as Rizespor beat Sivas Belediye 2-0.

And in another Turkish Cup game, John Chibuike was in action for Gaziantepspor who lost 3-1 away to Galatasaray.
Gbenga Arokoyo was not listed for Gaziantepspor.
