Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambrose, came in as a late substitute in Celtic’s 2-0 home win against Stjarnan in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier on Wednesday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ambrose replaced new signing, Dedryk Boyata, with eight minutes remaining in the match and got booked in the 88th minute.
Boyata, who joined Celtic from Manchester City, opened the scoring in the 44th minute before Stefan Johansen doubled the lead on 56 minutes.
The 2013 AFCON winner appeared 27 times for Celtic as they won both the league title and the League Cup.
