Nigeria striker Shola Ameobi has said he is eager to play in front of the Crystal Palace fans.
The 33-year-old striker, who featured for Nigeria at Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup, signed a deal with Crystal Palace till the end of the season.
According to africanfootball.com, Ameobi is yet to join the squad in full training, but upbeat he will be fully ready soon to play at Selhurst Park.
“I am definitely looking forward to playing in front of the fans here,” he said.
“Coming from Newcastle United and the passionate support they have up there, when I’ve come down here with them, you could feel the buzz at Selhurst Park and the love the fans have for football.
“As a player, you want that support from the fans and to have that means so much.
“Speaking to the Palace lads, they have spoken about the fans to me.
