Mohammed Babaganaru and Daniel Amokachi and Mohammed Babaganaru are now firm favourites for the vacant Kano Pillars head coach Job completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Completesportsnigeria.com scooped from a reliable source at the club who pleaded anonymity that the new management of the club are divided over the choice of the two coaches.
Ex-IfeanyiUbah coach, Mitko Dobrev, and Manu Garba are reported to be in the running for the job, but it now appears the options have been narrowed than to both Amokachi and Babaganaru.
Babaganaru is currently the head coach of Glo Premier League side, Nasarawa United, led the Pyramid City side to win the league title two seasons ago before he was later dumped for the recently sacked Okey Emordi.
According to completesportsnigeria.com source, Babaganaru has the backing of the majority of the board members, while some others are also rooting for Amokachi.
“Babaganaru and Amokachi are now the two main contenders for the Pillars job,” the source told completesportsnigeria.com.
“Both have the support of members of the management and at the end of the day I believe a decision will be made on who gets the job between them.”
A new head coach for the Glo Premier League Champions is expected to be announced next week.
