Nigeria caretaker coach Daniel Amokachi is optimistic the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2017 African Nations Cup in Gabon after missing out on the 2015 edition in Equatorial Guinea.
Super Eagles will battle Egypt, Tanzania and Chad for a place in the next edition of the tournament in Gabon with the eventual group leaders guaranteed automatic qualification.
Amokachi who has led the Eagles to two wins, two defeats and a draw in five games in charge said: “By his grace, we will qualify for AFCON 2017 from this group.”
The qualifiers will start in June 2015, with the first matches played on the FIFA international dates 8-16 June.
They open Group G campaign in the second week of June at home against Chad before facing Tanzania in Dar Es salam in September.
