JS Hercules of Finland head coach and former Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi, is devasted to lose 'good guy' Amodu Shuaib who died in his sleep in the early hours of Saturday, after complaining of chest pains on Friday night, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Amokachi who worked as an assistant to the late Amodu from 1999 to 2000 wrote via his Twitter handle:" Devastated to hear of the sad news today. We are losing all the good guys. RIP Shaibu Amodu."
Lille of France goalkeeper and former Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, also took to his Instagram wall to pay tribute to Amodu.
"Oh my God,no no no not again. Please someone tell me this isn't happening. Tnhat it's not true. God came for you. God called you home.
"Earlier, sooner than expected. REST IN PEACE Late Mr Shuaibu Amodu," Enyeama wrote via his wall, @vinny2908.
Dickson Etuhu who got his first international call up under the deceased Amodu wrote on his Instagram wall: Rest In Power Mr Amodu."
While Yusuf Ayila wrote via his wall @ayil37: "Another great man gone. Rest in peace coach."
