Assistant coach of the Nigerian U-23 national team Fatai Amoo is confident the side will not struggle to qualify for the football event of the 2016 Olympics.
Speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com from Senegal, the former Nigerian international admits the U-23 Eagles are wary of the tasks ahead of them but are keen to be among the countries that will be Africa's representatives in Rio de Janeiro.
"We are ready for the challenges. The tournament will be a difficult one surely," Amoo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"However the players are in good spirits and there are no serious issues. The players are fit and ready for the game against Mali
"Well, I cannot comment much about the issue of why we could not have certain players in the team. It's the chief coach that can respond on that. That (players' unavailability) will not deter us anyway."
