Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke is confident Manchester City teen star Kelechi Iheanacho can offer more if he works harder.
The Super Eagles player scored his second Capital One Cup goal of the season in Manchester City's 4-1 win over Hull City on Tuesday to the delight of his former Golden Eaglets coach but Amuneke still feels the player has a lot to prove at the Etihad.
"He's a good player and should be playing regularly if he works extra hard," Amuneke told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"He's at a big club that has ambition so he has to set his own ambition too and prove with good attitude that his rise isn't a fluke."
Amuneke urged Iheanacho to take full advantage of his invitation to the senior national team and show his class.
He added: "I know Sunny's attitude; he doesn't take rubbish so it's a rare chance for Iheanacho and other youngsters coming into the team."
So far Iheanacho has scored three goals in all competitions for Manchester City in his debut senior season for Manuel Pellegrini's side.
