Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke has warned Kelechi Nwakali and Victor Osimhen against signing for European teams that will offer no developmental plans for their football future.
Amuneke who guided Nigeria to their fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup title in Chile told Completesportsnigeria.com that despite their outstanding performances at the tournament the players still need to be nurtured properly to reach their potential.
"I'm not against them joining big teams but they must know the objectives these teams have for them," Amuneke said.
"They can cope with any rigours faced in Europe but that is if they join a team that will be patient with them all through because it will help their career blossom well."
Nwakali and Osimhem won the Most Valuable player of the tournament and the Golden boot awards and both have been linked with moves to top teams in Europe.
Amuneke however applauded national U-23 coach Samson Siasia for calling up four of his World Cup-winning squad.
"It shows the boys have something to offer his team and that's a good progression for our football."
