Former Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Amuneke has urged Nigeria to be ruthless with their opportunities when they take on Algeria in Saturday's 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The three-time Africa Cup of Nations winners head into this weekend's qualifier having a superior head to head record over the Fennecs with Nigeria winning eight times, drawing three and losing six in 17 meetings.
Gernot Rohr's side are unbeaten in their last two games – a run which has seen them win by slim margins against Tanzania and Zambia.
And Amuneke, a former African Footballer of the Year winner, wants a more clinical edge in attack when the second best team on the African continent come calling.
"They should not get carried away by the fact that they won away in Ndola and forget the need to beat Algeria with as many goals as they can," Amuneke, who starred for Nigeria at the 1994 World Cup, told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"What we need now is another win and to achieve that the Eagles should forget the win against Zambia.
"Of course, it's going to be an exciting game if we take our chances. The Algerians are coming with their best so forget the injuries to some of their key players.
"We'll need great solidarity because we'll need to defend well, and make the maximum of our possession in their box.
"I'm sure they will be a difficult opponent, with enough quality to create problems for us and whoever takes full advantage of their chances will win this game."REVERSE ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION Within 3Days And Make Her Happy Again!! Guaranteed!!! All NATURAL! No Side-Effects! Click Here!now.
