Sunderland manager David Moyes says injury-prone Nigerian striker, Victor Anichebe, is the United States seeing a specialists for apossible cure of his nagging injury, and will be back at the club in the coming days..
Moyes revealed that Victor's recovery is in slow progress but maintained that the need for the former Everton striker to see a specialist is part of Sunderland's desperate measure to have the player ready for busy scheduled of April.
“We’ve sent him to work with a specialist in America. “He should be back very shortly – he comes back this weekend. He’s running and back on it," Moyes told Sunderland Echo.
“Sending him to someone we thought we could work with him one on one, it looks like it is working.
“My aim is to get Victor back for as much of the month of April as I can. I can’t guarantee that, but we’re doing everything we can."
Anichebe has scored three goals in 11 games.
