Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah believes that it was no accident that his side have reached the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations against Equatorial Guinea in Malabo.
He said he has always believed that they will do well in this competition despite some people not giving them a chance.
“It has been a surprise for many people but I never gave up the idea to be here, it was my dream. It has been a long road. In a minute, I went from being at Cambridge (England fourth-tier league, NDLR) to being at training camps full of fans.
After this competition, Appiah said he will be returning to Crystal Palace. He said his focus for now is to do well for his national team then after that he will re focus on club football.
“I will however move back to Crystal Palace after the competition as my loan has ended. People talk to me more about the past than about the future, but personally I first think about this semi-final. The atmosphere is fantastic here, this competition brings a lot of energy,” he said.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
