Nigerian international, Gbenga Arokoyo, has praised his countryman Fanendo Adi for helping him settle down at his new club, Portland Timbers, in the American Major League Soccer and has also stated he is looking forward to making his debut for the club against Seattle Sounders on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former Nigerian youth international recently linked up with the MLS champions on a free transfer from Turkish side Gaziantepspor.
He is line to play his first game for Timbers when they take on Sounders in a league game at home on Sunday.
The 23-year old who is eagerly looking forward to the clash, also praised Adi for his support since his arrival at the club.
“Adi is like a brother to me and he has really helped me in settling down here,” the former Kwara United player told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I also love the atmosphere at the club which has also made everything easy for me.
“I’m looking forward to playing my first game for the club against Seattle Sounders on Sunday. Hopefully it will be a great debut for me.”
