Women’s Super League club Arsenal Ladies released Nigerian-born USA U-23 international Chioma Ubogagu on Friday after her contract ended.
The 23-year-old scored six goals in 14 league appearances for Arsenal in 2015, after signing from Stanford University in the United States in February.
The USA U-23 international also netted in the 3-0 Continental Cup final win over Notts County, as well as two-thirds of Arsenal’s away league goals most notably the brace she scored against Sunderland in a 3-1 win on September 26.
A club statement confirmed the winger’s departure after her contract expired.
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Chioma for her contribution to the side, and to wish her well for the future,” the statement read in part.
