Liverpool FC have completed the signing of Nigeria youth international Taiwo Awoniyi, who immediately heads out on loan to Bundesliga 2 side FSV Frankfurt.
The former youth international who joined the Reds from Imperial Academy for an initial fee of around £800,000 that could rise to around £3m with add-ons told Liverpoolfc.com that he is privileged at joining the Anfield club.
“This is the biggest club in the world and I’m privileged to be here,” Awoniyi said.
“I have lots of friends in England so I believe I can cope with switching over. I see myself being a good player here.
“When I’m in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy.
“My aim on loan is to go there and try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I’ll be able to add value to the team.
